This is such a busy time of year. Nikkelle is doing drill competitions. This is her favorite part of Drill. She loves the adrenalin and competing. Porter and Ryder have both decide to wrestle this year. Which means wrestling meets every weekend. The boys are having fun and said they should have done this years ago. Shane is pretty excited his boys are wrestlers now.
We got our family pictures done. Some of my favorites are on my header.

Homecoming
So last weekend was the homecoming dance and then this last week was homecoming week. Nikkelle said they set it up that way because some of the students had games they had to be to. So they changed the dance around. We spent a lot of time trying to find the right dress for Nikkelle. She wanted a short dress and no polka dots because that is what everyone else got. Then she hoping to find a blue dress, because it makes her eyes stand out. We found this one at Dreams of Enchantment, this lady runs her business out of her basement. She had tried on ever dress that her and her friends had tried on and kind of liked. She wasn't way thrilled about any of the other ones. Then I happened to come across this one. It was to big on her but one of the helpers saw her and she said that dress is for you. So they looked at it and adjusted it and put straps on it for her in about 15 min. She looked really pretty. Chandra was down and she was trying to get pictures of her spinning but they didn't turn out to good. This is the only one that looked good and could see her face.

Haunted Houses
On our way up to the Haunted Houses. Boy don't we look scared. When I was up at my Moms for the weekend we took the older kids to some Haunted Houses. I was trying to act all scared so I would freak Nikkelle out, but that didn't work so then we just took them in and boy were they scared. Porter was the leader and Nikkelle, Braylee, and Madison would not go through until I was in front with Porter. I don't like being in the lead nor do I like being in the very back. So I was more then happy to be second.

On the second house at the end their was guys that would chase you with chain saws. When we were running from them Braylee tripped and fell so I stop to help her back up. I couldn't get her to get up. Then once she did she took off. I could not get her to stop and slow down. She was a little freaked out by the time we got out. So I thought it would be best to go over and get pictures with the chainsaw guys. To let her know they were nice and just trying to scare us. She said those guys are actually really nice. But when we got back to my mom's she told me that when I was trying to help her up and trying to stop her she thought it was the chainsaw guy trying to pull her back in. Funny Braylee. I sure hoped she had a lot of funny and would go back with us again.

Cheyenne's 6th Birthday
I can't believe my baby is six and in first grade. Cheyenne has added so much joy to our family. She is our little comedian. She likes to act all grown up for the most part just like Nikki. She is such a sweet heart. We love her so much Happy Birthday Cheyenne.

Cheyenne is so kind to share things with her 3 year old cousin. He likes to be and do whatever Cheyenne is doing. It was so nice of her to let him have a turn on her bike right after she had got it. She had been asking for one for a while so she was pretty excited to get it. I had Shane hide it in our garage, because she doesn't really go in there. The day after he put it in there she went in and found it. So she came and asked me if it was her and so I had to tell her that it was for her cousin Hailey's Birthday. She went for that but was upset that it wasn't hers. So she was really excited when we pulled it out for her.

The Week of the Fair
This year the kids all had their lambs to show and sell. They had moved the weight up this year and Nikki and Porters lambs where both 3lbs short. So they didn't get to sell their lambs bummer deal. Kinyon decide this year to try our for the little wrangler contest. Poppy worked really hard every day riding Ceanna. All his hard work paid off and he won the 2nd Wrangler. He was so excited. He had to prepare a short speech and he did really well on that too.

Kaitlyn and Kinyon's 10th Birthday
I can't believe the twins are 10. It feels like just the other day I was not doing much except for nursing, caring for one fussy baby after the other. It was a lot of funny having two babies, because as they got older they had someone to play with. They are growing up so fast and are such a big help to our family. We love them so much. So here is a late Happy Birthday Kaitlyn and Kinyon.

Kaitlyn loved all her coloring books Markers and Crayons. And the flip flops that Shawnee gave her. Then Nanny and Poppy gave them each a subway card with $30 on them. They have enjoyed getting those sandwiches. Kinoyon liked his so much that he took the $20 that Travis gave him and went a put it on his subway card. So funny but he loves BLT.
Kinyon was so excited to get a croquet. He played this at scouts and loved it. So that is what he keep asking for.

A Lot Has Happened Since I Last Posted.
Kaitlyn and Cheyenne had been begging to do a lemonade sell. So one day while I was in SLC with my family, Nikkelle was such a nice sister and got it set up for them. It was also my birthday so she made me a cake for my Birthday.

Kinyon and Ryder finished up Baseball. They were each chosen to be on the All-Stars Teams. Kinyon had a Awesome year. He got to play catcher (his Favorite), he tried pitching, and different bases. He got 2nd Place for fielding, MVP Defensive, and His Team took 1st Place. Ryder also had a great year. He got to play catcher which is also his favorite position. His coach last year would never let him. So he liked it this year because he was their top catcher. His All-Star Team took 2nd Place.

Well its that time of year again!!!
Here is a update of what we have been up to lately. Porter, Ryder, and Kinyon went to a shooting competition in April. They did really well. Porter placed 2nd in rifle, and 8th over-all. Ryder placed 3rd in muzzleloader, and 9th over-all. Kinyon placed 10th in shotgun and beat both of his big bothers in that event, he was really excited about that.
We got the kids lamb early this year for 4-H. That made them all really excited. No really, just Kaitlyn and Cheyenne. They both love animals, they go out almost everyday to catch them so they can pet them or walk them. They are the ones that tame those buggers down.
Well baseball season has started again. I told myself at the end of last season that I would not run concession stand again. So they came up and ask if I was interested in doing it again. So I said well that depends on how much your going to pay me. So they said they would talk about it and let me know. So they ended up giving me a raise so I took the job. I couldn't really turn down a raise. So now I go to work at the Middle School until about 12:30 then I'm home sometimes for 2-3 hrs. Then I head over to the park for baseball until around 9. Then I have to make sure the kids homework is done and corrected, make sure they have ate, then get them to bed. Then I'm so tired that sometimes I get the dishes done then other times I just go to bed around 11-12 before the alarm is going off by 5. It sure will be nice when school is out.
The girls had their clogging competition at Lagoon this last week end. Nikkelle team took 1st over-all. Kaitlyn also took 1st over-all, then Cheyenne team took 1st over-all Grand Champion. They had fun, but not such a nice day to be outside. It rain all day. We were all wet, so between Cheyenne's dance and Nikkelle's we had about 3 hrs. So I took the girls to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D. Cheyenne laughed she thought it was funny, she would say " Oh my gosh I thought that rock was going to hit me." We didn't get that warmed up, the theater was on the chiller side. Cheyenne wasn't to happy when I told her she had to put back on her wet socks and shoes. But over-all we had a fun day despite the weather.
Nikkelle hurt her arm at drill practice on Wednesday. The doctor thinks she dislocated her elbow the put it back in. So he put her in a sling. He told if it wasn't feeling better by Monday that we should probably do a MRI to see if she has torn tissue. Her arm is still really sore. So we are going down for the MRI on Wednesday morning at 7:30. So hopefully we find out what happened and we can get if fixed. She does not like to sit out at drill. She said "it makes me feel Lazy and I just want to dance." She got her driver license this week too. She is really excited about that she says "Now I feel FREE!" She likes being able to drive to her friends without relying on me.
This weekend I've been trying to get my yard ready so we can get our garden in. I love this time of year and I like to spend time working in my yard. For Mother's Day Shane gave me a gift card to Valley Nursery so I can plant more flowers. Well I hope that you have a Happy Mother's day.

Nikkelle's Girl ask Boy dance
Nikkelle turned 16 just in time to ask Colby to the dance. There was three couples Nikkelle & Colby, Kadee and Brit, Aubrey & ?. This was a all day date. They started by going to the boys house at 6:30am and taking them to Kadee house for breakfast. Then they took them home and let them get dressed. Then they went to the Gateway Mall and did this picture treasure hunt. They had a lot of fun, but didn't make it all the way done with the list. Then they went to the Mayan for Dinner. They came back watched a movie then got ready for the dance. The dance was lame so they left and went and watched another movie. Looks like she had a great time. Here are some pictures.

~The Girls Being Silly~
They other day I was down in Nikki's room talking to her while she was getting ready for her date. The little girls were in there with us, dancing to the music being silly. They had us laughing at some of their moves, but they were so cute I thought I would share with you.

When is the bus coming
Nanny called me about 1:40 yesterday after I got home from work. She said well we have had some problems today. Oh whats that? Well she was busy doing stuff around the house, I can't remember what she said. So she sent Cheyenne out to catch the bus around 12:10. I said "okay". Well she didn't catch the bus, she has been standing outside waiting for it for 1hr and 10 min. Cheyenne finally came back to the house after the neighbor came over and told her to come back. She said that freaked her out. She had been crying. Nanny asked what happened Cheyenne said "the bus never came". I've been calling for my mom. She was cold and wet from all the snow melting and the puddles down their lane. So Nanny hurried and put her pants in the dryer for a little bit, then ran her to school. She then calls me and tells me everything that had happened. When she went to take her into the school they couldn't find her Minnie Mouse ears for hat day. Poor kid had a not so fun day. So I ran over to the school with dry pants, socks, and another Minnie Mouse ears. I forgot to get shoes. When I change her socks her shoes where wet. So the teacher just let her keep her shoes off. Nanny felt bad but everything is fine and I hope the next time she misses the bus she don't stand outside for 1hr. What a Silly Little Girl
Oh yeah, the Saint Bernard that ended up at Chandra's house, that ended up missing. Came back to her house on Tuesday night after a week. Her kids are way excited, and mine can't wait to go back up to play with him again. I never knew that a stray dog would end up being so loved.

Family Winter Trip
Nikkelle got a new camera for her birthday. I gave it to her the day after we got up there. So the first thing the girls go do is start taking picture with all their silly faces.
Here are some pictures of us outside playing in the snow. The kids all had fun even though some of the kids toes about froze off. We had sleds, snowboards, tubes, and snowmobiles to haul the kids back up to the top of the hill.
While we were up in Ashton, Nikkelle had her sweet 16th birthday. I can't believe she is 16. I remember when I turned 16 and it doesn't feel like it was all that long ago. She had fun having a lot of her cousins, family, aunts, uncles, and grandparents there. Thanks for all the kisses, a least now she can tell people her first kiss was from family.
Then there was a hot tub, air hockey, ping pong, cards, pool, and then the theater room. Their was always something for everyone to do. The cabin was big enough that it really didn't seem like there was 21 kids running around. We could all spread out and it was lots of fun to be with everyone. We talked and laughed about old memories and made some pretty funny new ones. The kids will remember this for the rest of their lives and that is what family is all about. Thanks for planning the trip Brandon. Lets do it again.
